I took this class mainly because my older sister took this class and I knew it counted for my art credit so I decided to take the class. I wasn't expecting much from this class, I only thought I would learn how to actually use the cameras and take good pictures, but that doesn't even begin to tell what I learned in this class. In this class we learned how to use different techniques to take quality pictures we learned not only how to use the cameras but to also use the computers. On the computers we learned how to download our pictures to Bridge and then edit them in Photoshop. In photoshop we learned about a bunch of different tools, move tool, crop, clone stamp, paint brush, quick selection, and much more. We also learned about "Camera raw filter" which changes the exposure, clarity, shadows, highlights, saturation ect. Comparing my first picture assignment to my last you can defiantly see that how much I have improved. This was my first photo assignment I took in this photo I didn't take it in a god space, you can see my hardwood floor and well as the shadows because the lighting I was in wasn't very good. Also because my shutter speed was so fast the picture is just genially dark, another thing I could have done better was not crop out the back half of my dogs body, if I would have moved a little further back I could have gotten the full effect of the picture. This was the last photo assignment I took. I converted this picture into black and white for my final project. I went to the field behind my house with my sister and shot pictures. These pictures are my first set of pictures I took. These photos were part of the last photo assignment I did. My favorite photo I took all year was part of my nature assignment. This picture was chosen to get printed and showcased in Mr.Bushes classroom all of second tri. I like this picture because I really focused on the flower and had the background all blurry.

This project was for us to take multiple pictures of a object moving but of the same space and put ll the pictures into one picture
My picture is of Cassidy Bero. I noticed once I had already taken the picture that the ISO was really low. Over the weekend I went to the field behind my house with my sister and took pictures of her, then turned them into black & white. I didn't have enough good pictures so I used some pictures from when I went to Ann Arbor. BEST PHOTO ISO 100 f/7.1 1/1000 My open project was supposed to show a double exposure through a person. It was very difficult because the video was super fast and the guy didn't explain anything.
Over the weekend I was lucky enough to go down town Ann Arbor and have the weather be beautiful. I took pictures all around Ann Arbor of the beautiful buildings there. i tied to take a picture of the law buildings but since the sun was on the opposite side the shadow that was casted made the building too dark. BEST PHOTO ISO 100 f/5.6 1/500 I turned the exposure up and tilted the picture so that the picture is straight. Over the weekend, my little sister had a soccer game. I really didn't want to go downtown later that night so I decided to take over the camera and shoot pictures for my project! My sister is number 13, she is mainly in the goal but she also plays right D. BEST PHOTO f/5.0 SS 1/200 ISO 200 For the editing, I turned the exposure down and boosted the clarity up just a little. I also turned up he saturation up. Over the weekend the weather wasn't really good picture taking weather so I decided to do light painting. Of course there has to be total darkness so after dinner when it was finally dark enough I set up my tripod and hooked up my camera. I was really conflicted on that patterns I should do, I tried many different ways to get a good picture. If I'm honest, I am not 100% pleased with my pictures, I did have some good ones but none were eye grabbing. I was really having trouble with the manual focus, the lights I was using came out really blurry. BEST PHOTO f/4.5 SS- 20.0 IOS 100 The editing I did on this photo was I turned the saturation down and I boosted the clarity up, I also brightened the whites up just a bit. I cropped this photo because there were distracting. Over the weekend it was rainy and cloudy, it wasn't a very good weekend to take pictures of shadows, so I decided to take pictures of nature. I thought the rain would add a negative effect to the leaves but it actually gave them a good effect because it gave an ordinary leaf texture and made it a leaf with rain droops. BEST PHOTO f/4.5 1/250 IOS 200 Next best 9 On this project we learned how to make a god photo great, or something close to great. We learned how to paint a selected space a solid col and cropped the photo down to a size that it really focused on the car and didn't have a lot of distracting objets in the background. We colored in the reflected lights on the hood, and we made the color of the car a brighter red so it can really catch your eye when you look at the photo.
Over the weekend my two sisters had their birthday parties, most of my family came over and some of our close family friends came. I mainly took pictures of my little sister opening her presents because the sun was setting in the back, which gave me a nice background to work with. BEST PHOTO Aperture- 5.6 Shutter speed-1/200 ISO-800 During this assignment we were given the opportunity to use photo to make a pop art photo. I used a picture I shot for a different assignment but didn't use. Using photoshop was a hard thing for me to figure out because it is very easy to get confused and mixed up. This photo was turned counter clockwise by 90 degrees. Unfortunately I saved my black and white picture over my original picture, so for my original picture I have my black and white picture.
Best Photo Over the weekend I was feeding the dogs, and my dad suggested we take pictures of my dogs in action of treats being thrown to them. As we started throwing the treats we noticed the lighting was off so we turned on the lamp next to the couch. We were throwing the treats and the pictures I were taking were blurry, so I had to bump up the shutter speed. Over the weekend I also took photos of my dogs out side on my front porch. I was surprised my dogs were nice enough to me to let me constantly take photos of them. They were very well behaved for always being so rowdy. I learned that you have to keep taking photos of your subject because even if you think a photo is good you can always get a better photo. Technical data: f/ 5.0 1/80 ISO 400 Rule of thirds; in this picture you can see that the school is on the left hand side of the frame, its also toward the top of the screen. Pattern; this picture you an really see the pattern of the floor, how the squares cintinue on going and never stop. Depth of Field; in this picture you can really see how the photo was taken a an angel you can really se the depth of field of the sign. The photo above shows bi-lateral symmetry. This is similar to folding the picture in half and the two halves matching up. They symmetry is not perfect showing slight lighting and tile differences. Texture: In this photo you can really see the texture of the planter box. You can really see the detail of the little rocks and how they are bulging out of its containment. Lines; The photo above really allows you to see the lines against the wall, it allows you to think the lines go on forever and ever. Framing; This picture illustrates framing, the tree in that middle of the picture is being framed by the blurred out tree branches. Perspective; This picture shows the perspective of someone looking up into the tree, its unique because most of the time you just take a picture of the tree from far away but this time i took it like you're in the tree. Space; This picture really shows you the space between the dead plant and the left edge of the picture. Balance; The photo above really illustrates the balance of colors. Light blue, darker blue with (sky reflecting in the water) and the horizon at the tree line, shows the darker colors. Color; In this photograph they first thing that meets the eye are the vibrant colors of the flowers. The colors really pop out in this picture.
Welcome to my blog! I go to saline High school, I am on the Saline swim and dive team. I have two sisters, Kaitlyn and Devin. I love to travel to different tropical states and countries. I traveled to Hawaii last winter and it was the most tropical place I've ever seen. I have taken photos on vacation but I didn't really understand what I was doing. I have no professional background in photography but I hope to be very educated by the end of this year!
